Entrance Exam & Merit Scholarships

All incoming new students are required to take our Entrance Exam.

We use the Scholastic HSPT, but can accept TACHS or ISEE from out of town incoming 9th grade student applicants.

The entrance exam scores will be used for determining acceptance, student coursework placement levels, and merit scholarship awards.

Upper grade transfers may present PSAT, SAT, PreACT or ACT scores, in lieu of taking the entrance exam.

CLOSED SESSIONS 

8^th grade students attending our local Catholic feeder schools have a separately scheduled, private testing session on their campus during the school day the first week of December.

Merit scholarships are awarded based on a student’s score on the entrance exam.

MERIT Scholar

Awarded each year to the freshman with the highest 90th percentile score from each of the following (4) constituency groups:

• • Royal Palm Academy 
  • Saint Ann Catholic School
  • Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic School
  • All Other Middle Schools

$2,500 Freshman Year   /   $1,000 (3) year renewable

ACADEMIC Scholar

Awarded to students scoring in the 90th percentile or above:


$1,000 Freshman Year   /   $1,000 (3) year renewable

HONOR Scholar

Awarded to students scoring in the 80 – 89th percentile:


$750 Freshman Year   /   $750 (3) year renewable
